TBRI® Training

Coming Fall of 2023

About Trust Based Relational Intervention or TBRI®:

TBRI® is an evidence-based, trauma-informed model of care for vulnerable children and youth with a theoretical foundation in attachment theory, developmental neuroscience, and developmental trauma. TBRI® is an attachment-based relational intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI® uses ‘Empowering Principles’ to address physical needs, ‘Connecting Principles’ for attachment needs, and ‘Correcting Principles’ to disarm fear-based behaviors. While the intervention is based on years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research, the heartbeat of TBRI® is connection and belonging.

The Hub585 now employs two certified TBRI® practitioners who are able to provide training for community members and organizations that serve children. We strive to create an environment of learning, coaching and support to biological, adoptive and foster parents, as well as caseworkers, teachers and anyone else working with children who have experienced adversity, early harm, toxic stress, and/or trauma. Relational trauma is healed in relationships, and TBRI® can help create relationships where hope and healing take place!
